CareArc will be providing free dental screenings at Marais des Cygnes Valley schools on October 3rd, 2023. If you would like your child to receive a fluoride varnish (in addition to the screening), please complete the top portion of the attached form. If you would like to opt your child out of the screening, please complete the bottom portion of the attached form. All students will be screened unless opted out.
**If your child sees a dentist regularly and receives fluoride applications, please do not sign them up for additional applications. Most dental insurances only cover a certain number of applications per year, and we do not want that to affect how they will cover your child at their regular dental visit.

This week, members of our MDCV certified staff traveled to Wichita for the annual Kansas Multi-Tier System of Supports Symposium held by the Kansas Technical Assistance Support Network! While at the Symposium, staff had the opportunity to hear from world-renowned speaker John Hattie and other national/statewide presenters on evidence-based practices to enhance their skills. MDCV is in Year 2 of its work with TASN and these staff members will look to bring back these practices to their buildings. Great job team!

The elementary book fair opens on Monday!! This is such an exciting time for the school. Students will be bringing home wishlists over the next few days that look like receipts. This is not a commitment to buy just an idea for you what they would like to have.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: In the update with PowerSchool's enrollment forms for this school year, it was found that one form was omitted during the process: Form N - Household Economic Survey. This form has now been released and is located in the Forms section of PowerSchool, similarly to other enrollment documents previously completed. All parents/guardians must fill out this form in order for the school district to continue to receive specific areas of funding. The form is only 4 questions and should not take more than 5 minutes of time. Please ensure it is complete for all children in your household. This form needs to be completed by Sunday, September 17th, 2023. Thank you for your assistance in helping our school district! To login and complete it, please go to: https://usd456.powerschool.com/public/home.html

SCHEDULE CHANGE: Today's HS JV FB game at Burlingame has been postponed due to field conditions. The game will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12th, at 6pm. Thank you for your understanding!
