NOTIFICATION: USD 456 was notified that a staff member at the JH/HS building has tested positive for COVID-19. As per contact tracing protocols from KDHE, it was determined no other students or staff need to quarantine. USD 456 continues to encourage students, parents, and staff to stay vigilant about their health, stay home when symptomatic, mask up when in public, and maintain appropriate hygiene during the course of the day. As a reminder, COVID-19 testing is available for symptomatic individuals. Contact our school buildings if you would like to arrange a test. Thank you for your cooperation!

Planning on attending one of the JH/HS basketball games this week? Per KSHSAA, "up to two parents/guardians per participant family" are eligible to attend. Names ONLY on the GATE PASS LIST will be permitted for entrance. Verifiable ID may be needed for away games. Want to double check the pass list for your athlete? Please call 785-549-3313 on Monday before 12:00pm to ensure you are listed appropriately.
All of our students will be participating in a holiday spirit week next week. Each age group will be having a different spirit week though. We can't wait to see the students and spread a little holiday cheer.
KSHSAA UPDATE: Motion passes Board of Directors 54-24 - "Effective December 10, 2020-January 28, 2020, interscholastic activities will allow for attendance of up to two parents/guardians per participant(s) family as allowed by local board of education or health department restrictions."
When games resume for MDCV on December 14, tickets will be distributed according to the policy set by KSHSAA and followed by the Lyon County League.
