MdCV Ag/FFA teams competed yesterday at Louisburg FFA Aggie Days. Ag Mech placed 4th with Cole Lacey placing 6th overall. A Team Floriculture placed 10th. B Team Floriculture placed 3rd with Hailey Ingle placing 3rd place. Congratulations to all of our FFA members!




There will be a pep bus available for junior high and high school students who would like to attend the Sub-State game tomorrow night in Lebo. There is a sign-up sheet located outside of the office. Each student will need $5 to get into the game. We will need 10 students to sign up to go.

Some great shooting, outstanding rebounding, and Trojan Pride from the student section send the Trojans on to the next round of substate basketball taking down SCC 59-42! On to the girls games tomorrow at Hartford!


Good luck to today to Levi Arb, Olivia Lacey, and Evie Stephens who are representing USD 456 at the KMEA festival. Levi is in the elementary choir that will sing tonight and the ladies are in the high school band that will play on Saturday.


Please congratulate Evie Stephens and Olivia Lacey for making KMEA State Band as well as Madison Cormode for being selected as a first alternate. The Honor band will perform Saturday, February 26th at 1:00 PM at the Century II Concert Hall in Wichita. Way to go ladies!


Just a reminder that the elementary kiddos will be having volleyball tonight.


JH/HS Future Smiles Dental clinic has been moved to March 10th. Quenemo Elem will still have it this Thursday the 24th.


There is a menu change for the junior high and high school tomorrow.


Substate basketball is kicking off this week with the first round of games. Thursday our boys will host SCC and Friday our girls travel to Hartford, both start at 7 PM. These are both KSHSAA events and passes cannot be used. Admission will be $7 for adults and $5 for students.



Tuesday night MdCV honored our senior basketball, choir, and band members alongside their parents. Thank you all for the great memories you’ve helped make over the past 4 years. Cannot wait to see the things you’re a part of in the future!


The high school basketball games for tonight, Friday February 18th, at Central Heights have been cancelled. At this time theses games will not be rescheduled. Stay warm and safe this weekend. Go Trojans!


NOTIFICATION: Due to potential hazardous road conditions tomorrow morning, students attending Washburn Tech will not be required to attend classes on Friday, February 18th, 2022.


NOTIFICATION: Due to the forecasted winter storm warning for the area, school has been CANCELLED for Thursday, February 17th, 2022. According to the National Weather Service, total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch are possible with this winter weather event. Wind gusts will increase up to 40 mph during the morning hours on Thursday, resulting in blowing and drifting snow nearing blizzard conditions. Therefore, in making sure we are keeping our students, staff, and community safe during this winter storm warning, school has been CANCELLED for Thursday, February 17th, 2022.
