Reminder: Conferences this evening have been moved to remote due to windchill potentials. Students scheduled for tonight should be ready to have their meetings for both the JH/HS and elementary via video conference platform at their scheduled time.

Please call the school if plans for your child have changed for that day! If they have signed up, then we will assume they are coming to basketball after school. Same protocol for pick-up as last time as well.

NOTIFICATION: This morning at 10:50am, a high-speed pursuit involving law enforcement travelled through the town of Melvern. The pursuit began south of town, but travelled as far north as Roberts Street, close to MDCV JH/HS. Once alerted of the pursuit as it travelled into town, MDCV JH/HS was put on full lockdown for the safety of the students. All students and staff are safe and the pursuit has travelled out of town into the county. At this time, the building will remain on a modified lockdown, allowing for food service and the change of classes, until notified by law enforcement that it is safe to resume full regular activities. Due to the continued pursuit within the county, the early-release scheduled for today has been cancelled and classes will continue for the remainder of the day. Unless notified otherwise, parents/guardians can plan on a typical student dismissal and bus service at 3:30pm. Thank you for your understanding.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: Earlier this year, the MDCV BB teams were scheduled to play a game during The Valley Tip-Off Classic at MDCV Elementary in Quenemo. However, those games were cancelled due to remote learning. To reschedule the opportunity, to have some fun during Queen of Courts week, and to give a nod to the 1960 Quenemo High School State Championship team, the HS BB games vs Cornerstone on Tues, Feb. 2nd will be played as a "Throwback Night" at MDCV Elementary in Quenemo. MDCV teams will be wearing old uniforms, spectators have been expanded to 4 per home team participant, concessions will be available, and prize competitions will be held in-between games and halftimes. Tickets will be distributed to players by Monday. If you can get your hands on a ticket, you won't want to miss it!
