We would love to have you stop by the elementary school on March 11 to see our third, fourth, and fifth graders' hard work on their science fair projects. They have been hard at work running experiments and gathering data on a lot of different topics, like what kills the most germs, which brand of pop corn pops the best, and more!

The last day of the elementary book fair is tomorrow, March 7. We will be open before school at 7:15 if you would like to shop with your student before school starts. The fair will close at 2:00 PM. Thank you all for supporting our book fair. You can still make an eWallet for your student as well https://www.scholastic.com/bf/maraisdescygnesvalleyes

Dear USD 456 families,
As you were made aware earlier this year, PowerSchool was the subject of a cybersecurity incident. PowerSchool, in partnership with Experian, has started to send emails out to affected students. There is a lot of information in that email that can be overwhelming.
There are two sections to pay close attention to: the greeting that says "You are receiving this notice on behalf of" will tell you which student was affected and the section titled "What Information Was Involved". The second will tell you what could have been viewed and at the end of the paragraph, it will tell you what information was likely viewed for your student.
PowerSchool is offering two years of complimentary identity protection services to students and educators whose information was involved. For adult students and educators whose information was involved, this offer will also include two years of complimentary credit monitoring services. The instructions for signing up are in the email from PowerSchool.
If you have any questions or concerns about the incident, please call PowerSchool at 833-918-9464, Monday through Friday, 8:00am through 8:00pm Central Time (excluding major US holidays).
Sincerely,
Brian Cordel - USD 456 Superintendent
Melissa Shields - USD 456 PowerSchool Administrator
As part of our annual district action plan, USD 456 would like for all parents to participate in this year's Family Engagement Survey.
