For Saturday, Round 3 of the HS Lyon County League Basketball Tournament at White Auditorium features our Lady Trojans facing off against Southern Coffey County at 9:00am for 7th place and our Trojans facing off against Waverly at 1:30pm for 5th place. Good luck Trojans!


For the second round of the HS Lyon County League Basketball Tournament at White Auditorium, the boys and girls teams will both play Thursday, Jan 30. The boys will play at 5:30pm against Hartford and the girls will play at 7:00pm against Waverly. Good luck Trojans!


Friday the JH/HS will celebrate Red Kingdom in the Valley! Staff and Students are also encouraged to wear red/yellow and their best KC Chiefs gear.


Tomorrow and Friday the elementary will be showing their love for the KC Chiefs! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their Chiefs gear.


Senior government students competed in a state government competition today; “We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution.”
Unit 1: Bayleigh Lacey, Garrett Holloway and Frank Warner earned an award of distinction for their unit today.





The high school Lyon County League Basketball Tournament brackets have been released! The boys will play on Monday at 5:30pm and the girls will play on Tuesday at 7:00pm, both against Olpe at White Auditorium in Emporia. Go Trojans!


Congratulations to all of our spelling bee participants today! Miss Olivia Lacey and Miss Emily Criqui placed 1-2 overall! These young ladies will represent MDCV in the Osage County bee Feb. 6th in Osage City. Great work Trojans!



MdCV HS competed in the annual Osage County Math competition at Allen Community College in Burlingame .MdCV had two students earn recognition --Madison Cormode and Kyla Vogeler finished tied for 3rd place

Congrats to the JH ladies basketball team for their 4th place finish at the Lyon County League tournament today. Great work ladies and coaches! Way to go Trojans!


Travel information for JH Girls basketball players traveling to Olpe on Saturday (1/18/20): pickup at Quenemo school at 8:15am, players report to Melvern by 8:30am, departure to Olpe at 8:45am.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: The start time for the JH Girls BB game against Olpe on Saturday, January 18, 2020 has been moved up to 10:30am in Olpe's small gym. The girls are playing for 3rd place at the JH LCL Tournament. Good luck ladies!

The HS BB bus will leave for the game at 4:00pm. All players are to report to the HS by 3:30pm. A shuttle bus will be picking up players in Quenemo at 3:15pm.

ATTENTION: Due to the incoming winter weather, school has been cancelled for Friday, January 17th, 2020. Hazardous road conditions are anticipated through the morning hours. However, due to rising temps tomorrow afternoon, HS BB @ Waverly will play as scheduled.
