For licensed childcare providers: The Child Care Health Consultant Network is accepting applications for Child Care Health Consultant Facility Grants through Tuesday, November 3. These funds may be able to help support expenses related to COVID-19 health and safety improvements for childcare – including facilities and other capital improvements (which are ineligible expenses with these Quality Subgrants). On Nov. 10th at 6pm, we will hold our annual JH/HS Fall Sports Banquet. The ceremony may be a bit different this year, as we will not be holding a pot luck dinner, but our commitment to honor our fall athletes remains the same! Mask up, get your temp checked and come celebrate!

NOTIFICATION: To address mounting concerns in conducting winter sports during a pandemic and considering recommendations from KDHE, KSDE, KSHSAA, and the Osage County Health Department, the Lyon County League superintendents met and drafted a revision to its' league guidance document. This revision restricts spectators at winter sports events to four guests per home team participant and two guests per visiting team participant. While restrictions may be more restrictive at schools according to local mandates, each league school will meet this agreed upon maximum amount. At MDCV, tickets will be distributed to participants at least 24 hours in advance. While tickets will be required for spectators to gain entrance, home passes or league passes will still be honored as a form of payment for gate fees.
