USD 456, in conjunction with the City of Melvern, is pleased to announce the receipt of a grant from the Walter S. and Evan C. Jones Testamentary Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, awarding $55,000 to be utilized to improve the handicapped accessibility at the Jones Park baseball and softball fields in Melvern!
While details still remain to be fully finalized, these grant monies will be used to create concrete handicap parking stalls, accessible concrete sidewalks, and accessible concrete spectator viewing areas to enhance the handicapped accessibility for our patrons.
We are greatly excited about the opportunity this provides our community and visitors in being able to provide accessible viewing options for all!
