Music brought our Trojan family together on Friday, October 23, as MdCV’s grades 6–12 band and choir students traveled to Quenemo Grade School to share a preview of their fall concert with our elementary students.
Under the direction of Jessica Kurtenbach, our young musicians had an opportunity to share their hard work, gain performance experience, and show younger students what they can look forward to as part of the MdCV music program.
These opportunities matter. For our JH/HS students, performing for younger Trojans builds confidence and gives their practice a purpose beyond the classroom. For our elementary students, seeing older students playing instruments and singing can spark an interest that grows for years to come. It also strengthens the connections between our two buildings and reminds us that we are one Trojan family.
Come Hear Our Trojans Perform!
Families, friends, and community members are invited to the MdCV Fall Music Concert on Wednesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. at MdCV JH/HS in Melvern.
The planned program features seasonal selections including “Danse Macabre,” “This Is Halloween,” and “Fright Night.” Choir selections include “Spooky Scary Skeletons,” “The Owl, the Wind and the Moon,” “Double Trouble,” and “I Put a Spell on You.”
Thank you to Mrs. Kurtenbach, our student musicians, and the Quenemo staff and students for making this visit possible. We are proud of the work going into our music program and the opportunities it creates for our kids.
Bring the family, enjoy an evening of music, and help us fill the audience with Trojan support!
