Healthcare Day at ESU
On April 15, four Marais des Cygnes Valley students had the opportunity to attend Future Healthcare Day at Emporia State University, where they explored a variety of careers in the healthcare field through interactive stations and hands-on activities.

MdCV counselor Lisa Reeser took the students to the event, which welcomed high school students interested in learning more about healthcare careers and the growing opportunities within the field. Representing MdCV were Bella Reeser, Colbie Cormode, Akyra Traver, and Gracin Stahl.

Future Healthcare Day gave students the chance to learn more about the many paths available in healthcare and better understand the education, skills, and commitment needed to serve others in those roles. Experiences like this are valuable because they help students connect their interests to real-world career opportunities and begin thinking seriously about their futures after high school.

Emporia State University has placed an emphasis on strengthening healthcare education and helping address workforce needs in Kansas. Events like Future Healthcare Day give students a firsthand look at the important work being done to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We appreciate Mrs. Reeser for taking time to provide this opportunity for our students and for continuing to support career exploration at MdCV. We are also thankful to Emporia State University for hosting an event that gave students a meaningful look into the healthcare field.

We are proud of Bella, Colbie, Akyra, and Gracin for representing MdCV well and taking time to explore careers that make a difference in the lives of others.
