Marais des Cygnes Valley FFA continues to make us proud with an impressive list of recent accomplishments, awards, and leadership honors.

At the East Central District level, several MdCV members were recognized as proficiency winners. Madyson Rose was named the winner in Agriculture Communications and Veterinary Science. Dalton Lingenfelter earned top honors in Ag Mechanics Repair and Maintenance, and Emily Criqui was recognized as the winner in Outdoor Recreation.

MdCV also had a major leadership honor as Madyson Rose was elected to serve as the East Central District FFA Vice President for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of her hard work, leadership, and dedication to agricultural education.

Seven MdCV FFA members have also applied for their Kansas FFA State Degree, one of the highest honors the organization can bestow. Those applicants are Ella Reed, Kate Patterson, Taytum Gellhaus, Landon Reed, Montrae Walker, Madyson Rose, and Ty Calderwood.

Adding to an already strong year, the chapter was named a National Chapter Award recipient, an honor given to chapters demonstrating the highest levels of program activity and community involvement.

MdCV FFA also recently announced its new chapter leadership team:

  • President: Mady Rose

  • Vice President: Bella Reeser

  • Secretary: Camille Davis

  • Treasurer: Emily Criqui

  • Reporter: Landon Reed

  • Sentinel: Dalton Lingenfelter

The chapter also recognized several students with scholarship awards. Chapter Scholarship Awards were presented to Kate Patterson, Taytum Gellhaus, and Akyra Traver. Alumni Scholarship Awards went to Ella Reed and Ty Calderwood, while Rorie Ford received the WLC Scholarship.

We are proud of all of our MdCV FFA members for representing our school and community so well. Their success is a testament to hard work, leadership, and a strong tradition of agricultural education here at MdCV.
