The Marais des Cygnes Valley High School Student Council spent Wednesday evening sharing time, smiles, and creativity with residents at the MAYES House in Melvern.
Students and residents gathered around the table to enjoy games, crafts, and a few sweet snacks. From painting and creating artwork together to simply visiting and laughing, the evening was full of meaningful moments. The conversations and shared activities gave our students a chance to slow down, connect, and learn from members of our community who have many great stories to tell.
Experiences like this are an important reminder that being a Trojan means more than just what happens inside the classroom. Our students represented MdCV with kindness, respect, and a genuine desire to brighten someone’s day.
We appreciate the MAYES House staff and residents for welcoming our students and allowing them to spend the evening together. Opportunities like this help strengthen the connection between our school and the Melvern community, and we look forward to visiting again soon.
