Capital Improvements Moving Forward

At November's board meeting, USD 456 began moving forward in providing capital improvements for the district in approving the home football stand replacement and corresponding concrete work, and accepting bids for painting the exterior of the gym/shop at the high school. This represents a significant step in the capital outlay plan for the year and for years to come. Already this year, the board approved the purchase of new volleyball standards and waterproofing repairs for the high school basement

For well over a year, the USD 456 Board of Education has worked diligently in developing a cohesive plan to address varying facility needs within the district that can be addressed through the capital outlay fund. That work has developed into a tentative five-year plan. The distributed flyer details the proposed plan for this year and the potential projects on the horizon.

The Board is very excited to see the progress proposed for this year and looking forward to establishing a cycle of improvements that will allow our district to thrive for generations to come!
