Soil Conservation Winners

All of the students in the first – 5th grade participated in the soil conservation poster contest.  This contest was open to all of the K-5th grade students in Osage County and the theme was Watersheds Our Water, Our Home.    We are very excited to announce that we had 6 students from MdCV Elementary selected as winners.  Those students were Third Grade Students – Landon Reed -  Champion and . . .

Can You Help Us Raise Some Dough?

The MdCV football and basketball boys are taking orders for Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee from February 9 through February 21.  The donuts and coffee will be delivered on Friday, February 23, at the home basketball game against Altoona.  Dozen Donuts - $8.50 Coffee (rich, smooth and decaf) - $10     ( The order for coffee will need to be placed by Thursday, February 15 th .) . . .

Super Scientists for January

The elementary students were hard at work exploring during the month of December.      During our January Pep Rally, Mrs. Carson recognized 13 “Super Scientists.” All of the names were put into a drawing and several students won the opportunity to be the “Super Scientist” for the day by wearing the official “Science Coat.”  Those students were Lona Pitts– . . .

MdCV Spelling Bee

On Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Melvern Attendance Center, MdCV held their local Spelling Bee.  Twenty students represented the 4th through 8th grade students, four from each class.  In the end, after sixteen rounds there was only one winner, Champion Madison Cormode and Runner-Up Olivia Lacey.
