Students in grades K-5 have the opportunity each month to bring in extra credit for Science to Mrs. Carson’s room. They are then recognized at the next pep rally. Mrs. Carson will then draw one name from each of the grades to be the Junior Scientist for the day. Elementary School students honor Veterans at the 10th annual Veterans’ Day patriotic assembly on Friday, November 11. Elementary Principal Twila Wollenberg gave a special welcome to the veterans and the audience. Next, Ms. Wollenberg read a patriotic message from President Obama. In preparation for HALLOWEEN, the 2nd grade class participated in a "slime lab." They first mixed borax and water together. Then they stirred together glue and water. After that they added some food coloring and glitter to the glue mixture. After both mixtures were combined well, they put them together and within a few minutes they had a nice creation of slime. The students enjoyed experimenting . . .
