Ben Gordon

I was born in Nebraska, but grew up and attended elementary, junior high, and high school at Marysville, Ks. My wife Ali is a hairstylist by trade. Her and myself have been married close to 6 years. We have a toddler-aged son named Henry, who is the biggest ham in the world if you get the chance to meet him. After getting my undergraduate degree at Kansas State, I moved to Norton, Ks where I was a K-8th grade art teacher for 7 years, along with coaching various sports/activities such as high school football, and junior high scholars bowl.

After completing my master’s degree in academic administration from Fort Hays State, I came to MdCV to be the 6-12 principal, and couldn’t be happier. I come from a family of educators. My mom is a retired SPED teacher of over 35 years, my uncle is a retired athletic director, and former head of NSAA (similar to our KSHSAA, but for Nebraska), my aunt is a retired K-12 music teacher, and my sister currently teaches 2nd grade at Lyndon Elementary. I have been around schools literally since I could walk, and cannot think of another profession I would rather be in. I have enjoyed my time here, and am looking forward to my future here.
