Students in grades K-5 have the opportunity each month to bring in extra credit for Science to Mrs. Carson’s room. They are then recognized at the next pep rally. Mrs. Carson will then draw one name from each of the grades to be the Junior Scientist for the day. Students also have the chance to pick a coupon for good behavior or use store money to be the Junior Scientist for the day. April Junior . . .
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students have enjoyed experimenting with electrical circuits. Mrs. Carson received, through a grant, enough Snap Circuit Jr. kits so students may learn about electronics either by themselves if they wish or with a partner. Some of the cool projects they have learned to make were flying saucers, alarms, doorbells and many different types of emergency sirens.
