Peyton Herlocker

This is my first year counselor and it is my first year here at MdCV. I grew up in a small town called Girard, KS. I am proud to say that their mascot is also a Trojan. When I went to college, I attended Pittsburg State for my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and then received my master’s in school counseling from Pittsburg State this last May.

I am the oldest child in my family and I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. My siblings range in age from 23 to 2. Two of my biggest supporters and role models are my parents. They always pushed me to work hard and make a difference in the world. My mother is a dialysis nurse in KC and my father is a teacher and coach in my hometown.

Outside of counseling and coaching, I have a wide variety of interests. Fishing, camping, hiking, and anything outdoors are some of my favorite things. I also enjoy traveling when possible, and spending as much time with my family as I can. I played softball, basketball, and golf growing up. Now I enjoy watching and coaching sports, as it is in my blood.

Please contact me at (785)-549-3313 ext 223 if you have concerns about your student. I value my job and want to strive to help our students be as successful as they can be. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and if there is ever a time you wish for me to speak with a student, please do not hesitate to call me. Lists of scholarships and deadlines are frequently sent out to student emails in our Senior Scoop. If you rather contact me by email it is pherlocker@usd456.org.
