Meet Mr. Darrel Finch

I am still very excited to be in this district. This is my third year at Marais des Cygnes Valley as superintendent. I am entering my 27th year in education. I have previously work in the Colby, Ulysses, and Madison school districts.
I earned my bachelor's degree from Emporia State University in Secondary Education (Social Science and Physical Education). I taught geography, economics, and government for 8 years in Colby. I received my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Fort Hays University. I have worked as an athletic director, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent for the past 18 years.
My wife, Cindy, works at the Lyndon State Bank. We have two daughters and one son-in-law. Danielle and Aaron Korte were married in the fall of 2010. They both are graduates of Pittsburg State University. They live and work in the Wichita area. Jennifer is a junior at Newman University in Wichita and she is a nursing major.
I am proud to be associated with the staff, students, and patrons of the Marais des Cygnes Valley school district. We have many good things occurring in this district and it couldn't happen without ALL of us working together.
