ESU Business Career Day

By Grace Bradley

On October 26, 2016, the MdCV High School FBLA chapter and business students traveled to Emporia State University to attend the Business Career Day put on by the ESU business classes. They attended with almost 500 other students from all over the state of Kansas.

There were several break out sessions for the students to attend throughout the day. They learned about holding a career in entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting, computer science, management, financial services and business education. The students also had a chance to learn about the Kansas Business Hall of Fame and compete with the other students for a chance to win a prize. All of the speakers were from Kansas and held connections with ESU.  At the end of the session, three Emporia business students gathered for questions from the students and were able to give an inside look at being a business student at Emporia State.

The students even had photo opportunities with Corky, the Emporia State mascot, and were able to meet new people who shared the same interests.
